The sensitive refurbishment of the Grade ii listed clubhouse at Beaconsfield Golf Club carefully balances heritage conservation with contemporary performance. With a long and distinguished history, the club’s Neo-Tudor Arts and Crafts building embodies its legacy through richly detailed façades, crafted brickwork, leaded glazing and characterful interior features that have evolved over generations.

The project sought to preserve and celebrate these defining architectural elements while comprehensively upgrading the building to meet 21st-century standards. Services were discreetly integrated, interiors thoughtfully reconfigured, and fabric carefully restored to enhance comfort, accessibility and operational efficiency without compromising historic character.

New access routes and upgraded facilities introduce greater flexibility, enabling the clubhouse to host a wider range of functions and visitors while supporting increased revenue generation for the club. Throughout, interventions were guided by a respect for the building’s significance — retaining its heart and soul while ensuring it remains a vibrant and enduring focal point for members and guests alike
